Tyler returned home Saturday night from his Air Force field training, corroborating the statement "It's the most fun you'll never want to have twice." Joel and I were picturing a "Gomer Pyle" style base, but Maxwell was far from that! It's no wonder the Air Force has been dubbed the country club of the military. Tyler explained that they spent part of the month in tents though, and I quipped, "But were they air conditioned?" Affirmative. I'm sure there was some degree of suffering involved. ;)
He came home bearing good news...he is now on ROTC scholarship. With the military budget reductions, these are more difficult to obtain. Only two were given to upperclassmen at K-State. We are so thankful!
