Ashlea held a moment of silence this afternoon when we got the official word that Asfolath was pronounced "not worth resuscitating," due to extensive water damage and rusty parts. As it turns out, he is more valuable than what we paid for him almost three years ago. So guess what activity will be consuming our time over the next week. We should be on a first name basis with just about every car salesman in town by now. Ashlea is also shopping around in Louisville, but I put my foot down...she's NOT getting the Audi!
As for Ty's Civic (he isn't nerdy enough to name his cars), it's still in Louisville...and we're hoping it will stay healthy for the next few days while in Ashlea's care. Remember the hood damage that occurred last week when the service technician was trying to close the hood with the support bar up? Well, it looks as though the Civic will be getting a whole new hood! That should make Ty happy, because there is a pre-existing rust spot...more like a rust section...on the hood that is an obvious blemish on an otherwise decent looking hoopdee. We're still trying to decide how we're going to break all this news to Ty on Saturday. I guess we could use the ol' "What would you like first...the good news or the bad news?" Or, we might just wait until we pull in the driveway, and when he realizes his car is missing, say "yeah...about that..."
