But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved). Ephesians 2:4-5

Books and Such
Thanks to the kindness of a couple avid readers in my life, I have my 2009 reading list off to a good start. I recently received three Lord Wimsey mysteries by Dorothy Sayers, The Souls of Black Folk by W.E.B. Du Bois, Longitude by Dava Sobel (I'm in the early chapters and find it very fascinating), and a series of books by Michigan author Dorothea Jorgensen. Also, when I ordered C. H. Spurgeon's Lectures to my Students for Ashlea and Tyler, I couldn't resist getting one for myself. And last but not least, we're waiting on our copy of Calvin's Institutes to arrive, so we'll be ready to follow along with the Reformation 21 reading schedule throughout the year. I greatly appreciate all the book suggestions that were given to me last month; I printed the list for further reference. It's exciting to have a plan! :)
