Just one week after an election that promises a significant increase in government control, it was so refreshing to be among the seven hundred gathered to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Mackinac Center for Public Policy. People from all over the country were at the Kellogg Conference Center in East Lansing to honor the center's relentless commitment to free market policies and limited government. ABCNews' 20/20 host John Stossel was the keynote speaker. In a rather humorous way, he reminded us of how often our government and the media create "crises" to further their own power and influence, rather than promoting liberty and freedom among the American people. It was such a wonderful evening, and Joel and I were thankful to be part of the celebration. Thanks, Joe...keep up the excellent work!
