I am really enjoying my web page design class. The overall teaching is so much better than the short class I took last year through community education. We started building a web page today...pretty simplistic so far, but we'll be dressing it up in the coming weeks. (Maybe I'll post a link once it's something worth viewing.) It's so interesting to see how the html code produces what is seen on the web page. If you're interesting in seeing the code for any website, first click on "view" in the tool bar, then on "source" or "page source." Amazing stuff! (I know, my geekiness is showing.) In addition to the one we're building together in class, we each have to build our own website and do a presentation on the last day of class. I asked Marcia if I could build a website for her wedding/event coordinating business, called Just for You. She enthusiastically agreed to be my first guinea pig...I mean "customer," so over the next month, I'll be consulting her to tailor the site according to her tastes. Whether or not the site actually gets launched remains to be seen, but it should be fun as well as a great learning experience.
You probably already know what I am about to say. You think differently than most women I know, Jeanette. Not all, but most. You go, girl!

Linda, I'm so glad you're "back." And about thinking differently...I'd say you're right there tracking with me. ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL! Tracking with you...uh I don't hold a candle to you, girl!

So is this web design going to be a job, or more of a hobby? It sounds really fun either way.
ReplyDeleteMy destiny with this new "hobby" remains to be seen. IOW, I don't have a clue. ;)
