Poem by Tyler: Inspired by To Kill A Mockingbird
Momma I killed a mockingbird
Please don't gawk at me
I did not realize how rare they were
Or that it was a sin, you see.
She sang to me the sweetest songs
I loved to listen constantly,
But then she sang more to my friends,
Or so it seemed to me.
So Momma I've killed a mockingbird
Disillusioned as can be
I saw a rock and threw the stone
Now I'm sorry as can be
What can I do Momma,
To repay what I've done?
I wish I hadn't done it,
But I guess what's done is done.
