I walked out of the office this afternoon just as one of our shelter clients and her three children were coming down the hall toward me, but they turned the corner, headed to the front door. Since I don't know their names, I could only greet them with a "hello" as I turned the opposite direction into the staff resource room. I then heard one of the little guys (I'm guessing around two years old) call out something, but I thought he was talking to a family member. No, he broke from his family to come to the door of the resource room to repeat his sentence to me, and then ran to catch up with the others. I asked Brenda if he said what I thought he said, and she agreed. He wanted to make sure I heard him say, "I love you too!" Ahhhhh.
