No Tummyache

This evening, Joel and I realized that summer is slipping away, and we haven't been to Tummyache once! For those non-Bay Citians (is that correct?), Tummyache is a cute little mom & pop candy store that specializes in nostalgic candy and snow cones. In summers past, all four of us would make this a regular bike trip, then three of us, and now it's down to two. Even Ty's love for lemon drops was not enough to entice him to go with us (probably because he knows I would bring him some anyway). Maybe it's just not cool being eighteen years old and going on a bike ride with Mom and Dad. So Joel and I enjoyed the ride through Essexville and caught the rail trail in Bay City to take us to Tummyache. Only one problem - the store is closed on Tuesdays! No snow cones, no cowtails, no cherry sours, no watermelon chews, and no lemon drops today. The bike ride was still great, and once we got home, the zucchini pineapple cake sufficed; but another day soon, and not on a Tuesday, we'll be back!
