But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved). Ephesians 2:4-5

GOOD TIMES
Last night, Joel and I went with Mark and Judi to a Genghis Khan Mongolian Barbecue restaurant... the first time for me. What a great culinary experience, choosing your own variety of meats from cuts of steak, chicken, seafood, even hot dogs (I thought of you, Mom), adding your choice of vegetables and sauces, then taking it to the chefs who grill it on a large round surface while you watch. When I asked the chef what they call the large sword-like utensils, he answered "swords." Yeah, that's what I'd call them, too. Since I only chose steak and hot dogs (they were good!) for my first round, I had to go back for a round of shrimp, scallops, and crab. The guys were teasing me about my "small" second plate of food, but I reminded them that I didn't have salad, as if that was a fair trade-off. (This is precisely why we rarely go to buffets!) The food was excellent, and we enjoyed a good time of conversation about life's matters. Judi and I behaved ourselves and didn't pester the waitor this time, but no evening with the Bashes would be complete without some antic from Dr. Bash. He blew the paper cover off his straw at Judi, but she moved just in time for it to go sailing over to the middle of the next table. Boy, were those people surprised! Good laughs. Joel and I have oftened wondered what it would be like to have Mark and Marty (a friend from Hutchinson) in the same room together...loads of fun!
