IT'S WABBIT SEASON

I used to think rabbits were so cute, but not anymore! Last year, they ate my hybrid lilies down to the ground, and we just discovered they are now going after my hollyhocks. A rabbit burrowed a deep hole under one of the hollyhock plants and got its nourishment for digging by eating the leaves. Argh! Why can't they eat something else - like crabgrass or dandelions? My solution is to sprinkle the plants heavily with cayenne pepper. The guys' solution is to use a pellet gun. Both work, but one is a little less "humane," I suppose. Oh well!
