But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved). Ephesians 2:4-5

Family Mystery
A couple weeks ago I was going through old photos stored in my cedar chest, which I inherited from my paternal grandmother about fifteen years ago, and I came across this brittle poster (click on photo to enlarge). I guess I never noticed it before because it was turned upside down at the bottom of the chest, underneath some of my grandmother's crocheted doilies and pillowcases. The WWI poster presents a mystery, because there is no identification for the faded photograph of the sailor at the bottom. I know my grandfather was not in the navy. I'm thinking about having the poster framed, but the glorification of Woodrow Wilson might be more than I can handle seeing on a regular basis. ; )
