It's become a tradition in recent years that Tyler helps me with the Christmas tree because we usually do it on a Saturday while Joel is working. He surprised me this year and extended his involvement beyond setting up the tree and helping with the lights. I don't know if that was necessarily a good thing though...he was quick to critique my placement of the ornaments and even had the audacity to move a few. Speaking of ornaments, I guess the theme of our tree would be hodge-podge, or eclectic if you like a superior-sounding word. And every year my Three Stooges ornaments are front and center. Here are some pictures of the ornaments and of my little helper elf. ;)
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved). Ephesians 2:4-5

Is There a Doctor in the House?
A "Doctor Doolittle," that is. Beatrice, the part Siamese cat, has us perplexed, and we'd like some help with interpretation. We've given the cats three shoestrings to play with...two black and one gray. Beatrice is partial to the gray one, and she regularly carries it in her mouth during the night while "crying" a very Siamese-sounding meow. What can this mean? We're even open to speculations. ;)

Wide Load
We are going to be in sooo much trouble with Ashlea. At the time we took her cats, she sternly warned us, "Do NOT let them get fat!" Well, Phoebe has no problem maintaining her svelte figure, but Beatrice is another story. Seems as though her extra weight has gone directly to her rear portion, making her tights turns at full speed pretty hysterical to watch. (I thought moving legs at stand still only happened in cartoons!) We have one month to slim her down before Ashlea comes home, so we've taken away the feeding trough, and it's fixed portions from here on out.
