Family Golf

After a wonderful week with our children, the nest is empty again.  And that means more time for blogging!  I have a lot of pictures of our time with Ashlea, Tyler, and Baillie to share over the next several days, one event at a time.  As I've mentioned before, I treasure these times together, since they are way too infrequent for my liking.

After church last Sunday, five happy people, four sets of golf clubs, three trusty bikes (it's beginning to sound like a song), and a number of bags headed north to Mackinac Island, one of our family's favorite places.  On Monday morning, we made our way to Wawashkamo Golf Course, which dates back to 1898 and is one of the few remaining links courses in the United States.  Its uneven and heather-edged fairways made the game a real challenge! Some of us spent too much time retrieving balls. . .or attempting to retrieve balls. . .but we had a great time!  Ashlea joined us as our "official photographer" for the first five or six holes, then decided to venture off on her own.  Here are a few of the shots she captured:

Tyler said this shot is "just scary."  I love it!!

Tyler had the best game of us all.  It's no wonder.  : )
