I'm not quite done blogging about the Bible conference, but I just had to show off my new office desk. The rescue mission has an employee who is also a cabinet maker, and he gladly took on the project of making a wall unit to replace my old decrepit desk, which was also too large for my office. When Mike heard his allotted budget, he laughed and said he'd be "dumpster diving" to get the materials. And that's pretty much the way it was. If I had not seen it with my own eyes, I'd have a hard time believing he transformed a couple junk cabinets into this lovely unit. Most of the material used was on hand, even the mirror-finish Plexiglas in the pencil drawer. Check out the photo...what a hoot!
