Get a group of women together and there's bound to be more fun than human beings should be allowed to have. Roxie hosted our quarterly women's fellowship last night, which we called "Hearts to Hands." Each lady brought a gift which she had made herself, so there was quite an array of craft and food items for the gift exchange. Gift selection order was based on the ice breaker game scores. Sue compiled a list of one obscure fact about each lady prior to the event, and we had to match the facts with names. Little did we know that we were in the presence of such illustrious personages as a former sophomore class "Miss Brains," a former second grade shoe-tying champ, an accordion player, a former radio drama character, a second grade play "Buttercup," a direct descendant of a signer of the Declaration of Independence, and a former writer of re-election material for Sen. Strom Thurmond...among others. After the game and gift exchange, we enjoyed refreshments while Rhonda encouraged us from God's Word. It's such a blessing to have so many lovely sisters in Christ. And thanks again, Roxie, for your gracious hospitality!
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved). Ephesians 2:4-5
