Last night, a group of ladies and young ladies from our church had a Victorian encounter with the characters from A Christmas Carol at the Bradley Home in Midland. We first gathered in the carriage house to get our calling cards and sip hot cider. Once we entered the home, cast members from Scrooge the Musical engaged their guests in a variety of activities including parlor games, singing, dancing, riddles, an ornament craft, and readings from Charles Dickens' classic story. Even with all the merriment in the house, we never could get Scrooge to say "Merry Christmas." He wouldn't even be bribed with our gold (chocolate) coins...but he did take our "money."
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved). Ephesians 2:4-5
