Say It Ain't Snow, Joel!

Over the years, Joel and I have had our share of gadgets...some have been helpful, some practically worthless. Sometimes we get sucked in by infomercials if we linger too long - those salesmen are good - so one of us has to be strong and lead in the chant "Just say no!" when we hear, "But wait, there's more!" The other day, though, we saw an ad for the FURminator, a deshedding tool that claims to reduce shedding of dogs and cats by up to 90%! The picture of the cat surrounded by mounds, I mean mounds, of fur convinced us this gadget is a must. Our FURminator arrived today, so Joel took the girls outside after dinner and raked them over. While our mound didn't rival the picture in the ad, I'm still happy that fur is outside on the grass and not on our carpet!
