A couple weeks ago, the elders at Immanuel Baptist Church approached Ashlea about becoming the house leader for Maison de la Vie, a ministry house recently instituted in Louisville by the Jonathan Edwards Fellowship. (The fellowship has such homes in cities with universities, dedicated to training young men and women in theology and ministry while they are going to college.) We discussed God's gracious and unexpected provision for this desire of her heart when neither of us could even imagine how that would work out. As house leader, she will be doing a combination of what she loves to do...teaching theology to the other young ladies, planning ministry opportunities, and scheduling lectures (with oversight from the elders). They hope to eventually have eight or nine young ladies, and there is a married couple living in the carriage house, behind the main house, that has responsibility for the maintenance and financial aspects of the ministry. That's a good thing. ;) We're so excited to see what God is doing in Ashlea's life, and we pray the Lord will be glorified through this work.
How great for Ashlea!

Yeah, it is great for Ashlea...but I'm wondering if I should start calling her "Mother Superior"? ;)
