Mackinac Again?

Since this was our second trip to Mackinac Island this summer, it's no wonder my brother-in-law said we should be eligible for frequent floater miles! Ashlea wanted to introduce Brittney to the wonders of the island, and that was the only reason we needed to oblige. We stayed at the Metivier Inn (pictured), which happens to have the loveliest flowers on Mackinac, hands down. We spent our time riding our bikes, playing in the water, eating really good food, shopping, laughing...oh, and taking pictures. Joel, Ashlea, and Brittney did the traditional climb up Sugar Loaf (someone has to stay on the ground with the band-aids just in case...), and if you look very closely at the picture, you can see them waving. The last picture shows Ashlea with her newly-found jousting stick..."It's called a lance"...the object of much teasing. ;)

If you have a Facebook account and are interested in seeing all our Mackinac pictures, click here, here, and here. :)

  1. Those flowers are just gorgeous. Was the whole island looking like that?

  2. The flowers were fabulous in the tourist areas. I'll be doing another post with just flower pictures.

  4. Completely unrelated to the occasion, but WOW! Ashlea's hair is so long. I can't remember the last time it was this long. I really like, it.

  5. It has been a long time...at least ten years. I think she's trying to grow it for Locks of Love, then she plans to have it cut to shoulder length. We all like it better long.
