Way back in January of 2005, little did my boss Kimberly know that her application to adopt a little girl from China would become a long arduous process. It seemed as though one delay followed another, but through all the testings of her endurance, Kim's faith in God's plan for her, whatever that would be, remained strong. Finally this spring, Kim received an email about a little girl that was available for adoption...not an infant or a toddler, but a precious four year old. Kim prayed and sought counsel over the remainder of that day. The next morning, she announced that, God-willing, this little one would become her Della Grace. For a few weeks now, Kim has been waiting for the final approval, and that came to her this afternoon...China has signed-off, and Della Grace is officially hers.
We couldn't let the moment of rejoicing pass without a celebration, so we quickly rounded up some ice cream and toppings. The break room was already adorned with birthday balloons and flowers for another employee. Ice cream, balloons, flowers, friends...instant party! And I was there with my camera, like a good paparazzi. ;) Congratulations, Kim!
YES! Congratulations! This is awesome. Very happy for you, Kim. Will we get to see pics someday?
