Steve Camp (Camp On This) posted a video (2/8/08) of Rick Warren on Comedy Central promoting his book The Purpose Driven Life. Admittedly, I have not read the entire book, nor do I intend to do so. I did skim the book once until I came across his presentation of the gospel, which was woefully lacking in substance. I do take issue with his man-centered premise, that God's main purpose in creating us is to love us, rather than God's ultimate purpose in creating and loving us is to bring glory to Himself. That makes a world of difference, as you will see in this short video. And just for the record, God is not like Jimmy Buffet!
