But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved). Ephesians 2:4-5

The Promise Cross
Over the last couple years, I have been noticing this particular cross in the Signals catalog we receive several times a year, and I've commented that I would really like to have it. It's just one of those things I wouldn't buy for myself though. Then when we were at the Smoky Hill River Festival in Kansas, we discovered the artist behind the cross and a whole lot more...Patrick Neuwirth of Iron Chinchilla Functional Art. His furniture and accessory pieces are really something to see. We thought about buying the cross then, but didn't. I noticed on his schedule that they would be at the St. James Art Show in Louisville, so I told Ashlea she must see his artwork. Well, she did, and she and Tyler decided to get this promise heart for my birthday...two months early, but that's all right with me! The card that comes with the cross reads: "A simple cross representing the crucifixion of Jesus Christ with a heart delicately balanced across the center symbolizing God's love, the gift of his son, and the incredible offering that was given to us, through his promise that 'whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.' The Promise Cross is designed to hang on a wall of a home as a daily reminder of the life-changing role Christ can play in our lives and the significance of the promise God made to his people."
