The following is an actual quote from a cooking magazine I received, located in the "Readers Share Clever Tips For Everyday Cooking Challenges" section.
"Most cookie recipes call for a specific size dough ball, say 1 1/2 inches. If I try to eyeball it, I end up with fewer or more cookies than the recipe says. But holding up a ruler every time seems even more annoying than having too many or too few cookies. So I take my ruler and pencil and mark the correct size on the parchment paper that the cookies are going to bake on. When I roll my cookie balls, I can just check the size with my reference marks."
I'm withholding the name to protect the extremely obsessive compulsive. ;)
You have got to be flippin' kidding me! Seriously, wish I had enough time to even think about baking cookies.
