But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved). Ephesians 2:4-5

Riding the Rails
My birthday present to Joel this year was a day trip on restored 1950s railroad cars to West Branch for the Victorian Art Fair, and back to Standish for a car show before returning to Bay City. The trip also included a four-course meal in the dining car... bruschetta, grilled pork chops with cherry barbecue sauce, chocolate mousse...it was all delicious. The only slight disappointment to the day was the art fair. Even though there were 275 vendors, there wasn't much art. It seemed to be more like a holiday craft bazaar al fresco. The park setting was very pleasing though, and we did find one item to purchase. On the way back, we toured the historic and completely renovated depot in Standish.
The first class train passengers rode in the Canadian glass-domed Algonquin...the first passenger car that had sleeping quarters, a lounge, and coach-class seating in the observation deck. The investors plan to sell timeshares to travel to various destinations in the United States. It was quite impressive.

Looks like a good time was had by one and all. So, did you buy a timeshare?

The trip wasn't a sales trip, but Joel did look up the info on the internet out of curiosity. That form of vacationing is way out of our league!
