But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved). Ephesians 2:4-5

Family Matters
Thursday evening, Joel and I got to spend the evening with his brother Gary and family who are visiting from Kansas. Gary's wife, Sue, was raised just about 30 miles south of us, so we're thankful we get to see them when they visit her mom. That's their second oldest son, Bill, in the Marine uniform. He'll be leaving for his second stint in Iraq in August. Their oldest son, Chris, is also a Marine and is currently training in Chile. He expects to return to Iraq early next year. Some think that Bill and Tyler resemble each other, but there's one definite difference between the two. Bill is 6' 7" tall, and Tyler...well, even though he didn't inherit the tall genes from his dad, he's thankful he made it to 6 feet (technically 5' 11 1/2", but I get in trouble for saying that). ; )
