Wishing all the women in my life a wonderful day, doing whatever your hearts desire...within reason of course!
(This is the front of my Mother's Day card from my dear son.)
I've had a very pleasant Mother's Day. After church, we went to Logan's Roadhouse (our first time), and we came away wondering why we hadn't dined there before. My meal was excellent...the Brewski Sirloin with marinated onions, baked sweet potato, tossed salad, and melt-in-your mouth dinner rolls. And because we mentioned we were first-timers, the manager gave us a coupon for a free appetizer of our choice on our return visit. : ) I'm sure it won't be long! Ashlea and Tyler gave me a gift certificate to My Secret Garden to purchase new decor for the kitchen, so we shopped there this afternoon, and I found a unusual framed print of I Corinthians 13:4-8. Joel gave me some beautiful Brighton jewelry. Later in the afternoon, we made a trip to Mama Lupo's, and they finally had plain ol' banana ice cream. I savored every bite. Then Joel and I had our first bike ride of the season. We peddled away while we discussed today's Sunday School lesson on the regulative principle of worship. (It was more interesting than it probably sounds.) It's just been one of those days when I've been especially aware of God's grace in my life, and I praise Him for all the blessings...especially the banana ice cream. ; )
