Barring any unforeseen problems with the background check, it looks as though Ashlea's desire to work for UPS will soon become a reality. And for that, we are praising God. There is one little aspect of the job though that troubles me. Is it that she will be loading boxes on delivery trucks? Not hardly...she doesn't mind manual labor. Is it that she'll have to get up in the wee hours of the morning in order to get to work on time? No...she's a morning person just like her parents. Or is it the work environment? It's not that either. What really bothers me about Ashlea taking this job is that...I can barely admit it...she will be become a card-carrying member of a labor union. *shudder* As a person with a degree in business management, this is hard to swallow. I guess I'll have to accept the fact that my daughter is crossing over to the "other side" and love her anyway. I just keep saying to myself, "It's the benefits." ;)
