The Right Place At The Right Time...

While Joel and I were at the Gerald Ford Museum on Friday, we noticed security people were gathered outside the building. Knowing that President Bush was in Grand Rapids that day to deliver a speech, we quickly put two and two together. We waited in a museum room with an overlook to Ford's burial site, and sure enough, the motorcade brought President Bush to the museum to place flowers on President Ford's grave. The whole event only lasted about five minutes, but it was pretty exciting...even if we did have to view it through glass. After the motorcade left, security guards quickly removed the bouquet of white roses so tourists wouldn't take them.
