Worth It

Jeff, our new development associate at the mission, started a new tradition...Krispy Kreme Fridays. Jeff drives in from Flint, so he stops by the Krispy Kreme bakery to get the ones that are hot off the donut press, so to speak. I've noticed this new tradition has had an interesting effect on the staff...our behavior changes on Friday mornings in a negative manner. I would compare it to the way seagulls act in a fast food parking lot, or the way vultures circle around road kill waiting for the opportune moment to swoop in for the snatch. There have even been catty accusations such as "You guys (in the development department) are eating ALL the donuts!" I don't think there have been any altercations though...yet. So, are they really worth all the antagonism? You betcha!!!
