In addition to my birthday present, my dear mother sends me money every year to ensure that I will have a birthday cake (there's a story behind that...suffice to say that birthday cakes are VERY important in our family). This year Joel and Ty chose to get my cake from Coldstone Creamery...birthday cake ice cream with red velvet cake and a fudgey chocolate frosting....so rich and so yummy! Notice the solid dark chocolate letters.
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved). Ephesians 2:4-5

Hi Jeannette, Just read your December Blog. Mark wants to know in 10 words or less why you don't like Away in the Manger? Could it go way back to your childhood where you were too busy opening others presents that they didn't pick you(s) to bring your dollie to the Christmas program at church to sing Away in the Manger?
ReplyDeleteLove the birthday cakes! But the picture with your co-workers I have a question about. It appears that you are wearing some sort of strap around your neck. Does it make a siren noise when you walk out the door? Glad you had a nice birthday and I enjoyed our breakfast this a.m. I still don't think they should have charged you!!!
Come to think of it...I don't think I ever did get to be Mary. Ten or words or less: it's trite and lacks any real significance about Jesus. That strap around my neck is a lanyard that holds my work keys. Everthing is locked at the mission, you know. Hey, a siren might be a good idea! :)
