Over the weekend, we acquired four two-pounds bags of Jelly Belly seconds, packaged as Belly Flops (very clever). There's nothing wrong with the taste, but the shapes are very irregular. I took one bag to work today and filled the candy dish in our office. Needless to say, they were a big hit with the staff...maybe even better than chocolate. Karen just couldn't get the name right; she was calling them Jelly Flops, and we kept correcting her. She's pictured below with "one" that was actually about six clumped together. When I mentioned that I would use this picture as blog material, Brenda made a comment about Marcia's picture on my blog (the one with the orange wig - see 11/17 post). Everyone wanted to see it, so we brought up my blog and all howled with laughter...except Marcia. She was mortified. (I just know I mentioned that little detail to her when I took the picture.) And as Dan stated to Marcia, "It's your own fault for wearing the wig." Marcia told me this reminded her of the I Love Lucy episode where Lucy and Ethel sing the friendship song while ripping each other's dresses to shreds. "Where is the love?" she asked me. I told Kim that anyone can pirate that picture with a right click of the mouse...it's sooo easy. I caught wind of a little secret before I left work...that picture of Marcia is now the wallpaper on the executive director's computer, unbeknownst to him. Ha! I wish I could be there tomorrow to witness that reaction!
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved). Ephesians 2:4-5
