For all the times Ashlea and I have been together in public, and strangers asked if we're sisters, or my favorite, which of us is the mother and which is the daughter (it really happened, but the lady was up in years so maybe her eyesight wasn't so keen), Ashlea claimed vindication after I told her about a comment I received at work yesterday. While giving a tour to a retired school teacher, he asked me about my job, how long I had worked at the mission, and then had the nerve to ask if I had retired from another job before going to work for the mission! Retired? Tyler commented that I have retired from motherhood (meaning a stay-at-home mom). Does that count? I'm thinking that gentleman's eyesight wasn't so keen either!
