WHAT TO DO?

Tyler had a rather humorous confession to make last night. He wrote an in-class English essay yesterday on a book he has never read. His teacher had a list of fifteen books from which they were to choose one and compare the idealistic romantic relationship with the realistic romantic relationship. (Such a wonderful topic for a guy!) Ty looked over the list, and the only two books he had read were Macbeth and Hard Times. But due to a mental block (I guess), he couldn't even remember the characters' names in those books. He sat there for awhile contemplating his dilemma, and looked over the list again. There were two of which he knew the stories from our DVD collection: The Importance of Being Earnest and Pride and Prejudice. Ty wasn't sure how closely the former actually followed the play, so he chose the latter. I love it! After all the grief I've received for my numerous viewings of P & P over the years (You're watching that again?!), Tyler benefited from the viewings. Not only does he know the story well, he can also quote many of the lines. Now this is one essay that I want to read! And I agree with Ashlea, guys really should read the book. : )

  1. That is so funny! Just goes to show it's not always a bad idea to watch a movie more than once... So, who was his favorite character ;)
