As Tyler was leaving for school this morning, I took at good look at his chin. Yes, the goatee he grew over spring break was still there, and his grin indicated he was proud of it. He and Cory agreed they would go to school with their facial hair and see how long it would take before they were confronted. I attributed their actions to senioritis, because they couldn't possibly have been thinking rationally. After all, earlier this year Tyler was put on "the list" for having his sideburns 1/4" too long. I told Tyler he would get nailed first period, but he was confident he would survive until fourth period. What then? He had his razor in his backpack. As it turned out, Mom was right. Good try, but the long hair and beard will just have to wait until after graduation; then we'll see the other Tyler again. : )
