Tyler brought Baillie home for Thanksgiving, and since she's a chemistry major, we thought she would like to have a tour of Michigan Sugar Company (where Joel works).  And besides, it was about time for my quintannual (is there such a word?) visit to Joel's factory.  (It's not that I'm uninterested in his work...hard hats are not kind to my hair.)  The Caro, Michigan factory is the oldest continuously operating sugar factory in the United States.
