Share the Good News of Christmas (link) offers kits that make it easy for churches to invite their neighbors to a Christmas service. Each kit contains fifty door-hanger bags along with fifty of each of these: New Testaments, customizable invitations to your Christmas event, gospel tracts, and a reproducible church bulletin insert. Our church did this last year, and we had one neighborhood family attend our service. It's not about the numbers but about our faithfulness to plant the seeds of the gospel. As a personal observation, churches should be prepared for any visitors that do come to the service, to welcome them and thank them for visiting.
