I am always encouraged when I hear C. J. Mahaney speak...encouragement just seems to ooze from his soul. This session from the Together for the Gospel conference is titled "Ordinary Pastors," but I would say it also speaks to believers in Christ, as we have a tendency to compare ourselves unfavorably to other Christians. Mahaney reminds us that our sanctification is often a slow process, so we should have realistic expectations while the Holy Spirit is doing the perfecting work in our lives through our faithfulness to the gospel, our ministry, and our Savior.
